GIRLS SHOWCASE UA NEXT

Under the leadership of Christy Winters Scott, Girls Program Director the Virginia Elite Girls basketball program is positioned to be one of the best programs in the country. Christy Winters Scott is currently a basketball color analyst for college basketball games for ESPN, FSN, The Big Ten Network (BTN), NBC Sports Washington, and Raycom Sports.

She has been the lead analyst for BTN Women’s Basketball since 2016. Some of her earlier jobs were to serve as an analyst for ACC Women's games, the ACC Women's Basketball Tournament, SEC games, and she has been serving as an analyst for the NCAA women's basketball tournament since 2012. She also calls WNBA games for the Washington Mystics. She has been the host of the NBA's Washington Wizards pre-game and post- game shows on NBC Sports Washington since 2012, and she also has served as an NBA Analyst for the Wizards for NBCSW.

SHOWCASE TEAMS

All teams will be participating in the Under Armour (VA) NEXT Circuit league and well as other elite showcase NCAA associated events throughout the spring and summer.

15 and Under	8th and 9th Grade HS
16 and Under	10th Grade HS
17 and Under	11th Grade HS

The Girls Elite teams will focus on competing in national elite level events and NCAA regulated events that exposes our players to opportunities that could result in a college scholarship.

Under Armour (UA) circuit league was created to bring the premier high school teams and players to have a consist platform to showcase their talents. Team from throughout the US and Canada in the 15U, 16U, and 17U age groups comprise of one of the three major grassroots circuits in the country. Additionally, our teams compete in the most competitive grassroots events across the nation! Both youth and high school teams travel throughout the nation and possibly even internationally. 15U age level teams play in “NCAA Live Viewing Period Events” in which our players will get opportunities to play in front of collegiate coaches who may be recruiting them.

Virginia Elite Under Armour is one of the top grassroots/AAU programs in the Washington, DC area (Virginia, Washington, DC and Maryland). The Virginia Elite Girls Basketball program is dedicated to enriching and changing lives of girls' basketball players on and off the hardwood. Founded by Coach Thomas Gadson and based in Northern Virginia, the program plays in the Under Armour Association NEXT program.
