Cameron Jackson, Germany

July 4, 2019 - Virginia Elite Alumni Cameron Jackson begins his professional basketball career in Germany, signing as an National Basketball Association (NBA)undrafted free agent with the Mitteldeutscher Basketball Club. Jackson had workouts with the Indiana Pacers and the Sacramento Kings of the NBA. 

Standing at 6-foot-8, Jackson averaged 14.5 points to go with a team-high 7.6 rebounds per game as a senior to help lift the Terriers to their first Associated Press Top 25 ranking in program history. In addition to grabbing the 2018-19 regular-season and Southern Conference tournament championships, Jackson powered Wofford to its first win in NCAA Tournament history, scoring 14 points and collecting 10 rebounds in the 84-68 victory over Seton Hall. A native of Winchester, Virginia, Jackson started all 35 games for Wofford, scoring double figures 32 times with seven double-doubles en route to being named First Team All-Southern Conference after the Terriers went 18-0 in Southern Conference play, adding three victories in the Southern Conference tournament to claim the league’s highest seed (No. 7) since 1979. The 2018-19 season also marked the first time since 2014-15, when Jackson was a freshman, that Wofford won both the regular season and conference tournament championships in the same year.

For his career, Jackson ranks first at Wofford with 138 games played, third with 125 blocks, sixth with a field goal percentage of .583, sixth with 168 steals and 19th on the all-time scoring list, totaling 1,399 points in a Terrier uniform.

Eliet Donley, Japan

Osaka Evessa (B1 League) signed Japanese forward Eliet Donley (198-91kg). He just graduated from Chaminade (NCAA2) in USA. Donley has played there for the last three years. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. A very impressive season as he was named to PacWest All-Tournament Team.

As mentioned above Donley is just out of the college and it will be his first season as a professonal.

UCD Marian competes in the Premier League; Basketball Ireland's top division for senior men. The team comprises of overseas semi-professional players, scholarship students at UCD and experienced senior players from the area. It was one of the founder clubs of the Irish National League in 1974 and has been ever present since. Super league games are held in UCD Sports Centre, Belfield on alternate Saturday nights at 7pm between October and March.

AJ Carr, England

At 6-Foot-6, AJ will bring a brand-new dimension to the growing Rockets squad with a versatile playing style that promises to bring a unique flair to the team’s game. The American will moved to Reading in late August, when he will meet with Rockets colleagues and start to integrate himself into the club.

AJ’s versatility really suits the style of game we will play. AJ possesses a skill set which will make us difficult to defend and play at a tempo that will be exciting to watch. In addition, AJ’s character fits the values and personal traits we value most at the club. I have big expectations of AJ and have no doubt he will deliver that and some.”

Obi Enechioyia, Spain

Enechionyia most recently played for the Detroit Pistons’ NBA Summer League team. In six games, the 6-foot-10-inch forward averaged 3.2 points and 10.8 minutes. Enechionyia finished his Temple career as the 2018 American Athletic Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year. He became the 24th player in team history to record 600 career rebounds and finished with 614 to rank 23rd all-time.

He also finished his career as one of the most accomplished shot-blockers, ranking seventh on Temple’s all-time blocked shots list with 170.

Antonio Butler

(Slippery Rock University) became the 1st Virginia Elite alumni and the 15th Slippery Rock University basketball player in the last eight seasons to sign a professional contract when he agreed to a deal with AS Soleuvre of the Total League in Luxembourg for the 2016-17 season.

For his efforts in 2014-15, Butler earned first team All-PSAC West and second team National Association of Basketball Coaches Association All-Atlantic Region accolades.

Butler is the 15th Rock player to sign a professional contract since 2009 and the sixth to do so in Luxembourg. Denell Stephens, who played at Slippery Rock during the 2008-09 season, recently agreed to a contract extension with T71 Dudelange in Luxembourg to play his eighth season with the Total League power. Stephens is also a member of Luxembourg's national team.

Established in 2008 Virginia Elite has maintain a level of excellence that has resulted in many players playing at the highest level of high school and collegiate basketball.
