Virginia Elite provided a safe environment for our son Paul to develop as a basketball player and take it to the collegiate level. The VAElite family provided the opportunity for Paul to hone in on and further develop both his individual and team basketball skills. Whether Paul was on the court, on the bench, in the classroom, with his team or family, the importance of being a well-rounded athlete was an underlying tenet of Virginia Elite’s philosophy.
Coach Gadson and his staff were always willing to give our son extra time in the gym before or after practice. He understood Paul and what we were looking for academically in colleges; he went above and beyond assisting us during the recruiting process. Coach Gadson kept in touch with Paul while he played basketball for William and Mary and continued to be a source of support for Paul during his collegiate years. They still keep in touch. We still feel very much a part of the VAElite family!

Virginia Elite is a terrific basketball program. We are thrilled that our son Jonas spent two years there. Coach Gadson runs a family-oriented club that looks out for its players first, last and always. Virginia Elite develops fundamental skills, plays against the best competition and makes sure that college coaches are very aware of each of the club's players.
We were impressed by the dedication and loyalty of Coach Gadson and the rest of the Virginia Elite coaches. They work very hard for their players. We were also very happy with the other players in the program. They are good students of strong character. It was a pleasure to be with them and their families at tournaments far away from home.
And very importantly: no one knows college coaches better than Virginia Elite! You'll get the very best exposure to college recruiting with Virginia Elite.

We came to Virginia Elite in the Fall of 2017. Our initial intention was for our youngest son, Isaac, age 9 at the time, to try out for the junior elite team. Isaac came for the try out and made the team. He has been playing ever since.
However, we also have another son, Benjamin, who was just starting his freshman year of high school. Ben was not interested in playing for Virginia Elite because he was starting to form and love for football and was not interested in a Basketball at the time.
Ben would come with us to Isaac’s practices and the director of Virginia Elite, Coach Thomas Gadson, would ask him if you wanted to participate. He would say “no” every time. After a few months of watching from the sideline at practices, Ben finally agreed to “try”. Until that point, he had only played for his 7th grade team while doing a year at a private school. He had tried out for his 8th and 9th grade school teams but did not make it.
Finding the courage to say he would try meant a lot to all of us. The Virginia Elite program (Coach Gadson) gave Ben the opportunity to fall in love with the sport of basketball. They have given our son the chance to compete on a higher level, when we didn’t think that was even a possibility.
Since that time, we have traveled to many different cities and states, and we have won some and lost some. But the most important thing, is that this program has given our children hope, and a future through basketball. They have developed life-long friendships with their teammates and we, the parents, have formed bonds with the other parents as well. We love our VAE family!
